State officials announced today, Saturday, December 5, 2020 that the new Regional Stay Home Order will go into effect in the Regions of Southern California and San Joaquin Valley at 11:59 PM on Sunday, December 6. That means dealerships opening on Monday, December 7 will need to comply with the Order.

Under the Order, the affected Regions are defined as follows:

San Joaquin Valley: Calaveras, Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, San Benito, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tulare, Tuolumne

Southern California: Imperial, Inyo, Los Angeles, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura

Dealerships located in any of these counties will be subject to the Order starting on December 7 and continuing at least through December 28.

As a reminder, dealerships in the affected counties should limit capacity in their sales facilities to 20% starting Monday. The Order also requires that capacity be strictly metered. Dealerships should interpret this to mean that a person on staff be tasked with monitoring and enforcing the capacity limit within the sales facility at all times.
