LOS ANGELES – February 7, 2017 – The Scali Law Firm today announced that consumer protection litigator Jade Jurdi has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office.

“Since earning his J.D. from the UC Berkeley School of Law, Jurdi, a Harvard undergrad, has distinguished himself as a brilliant and fearless litigator,” said Christian Scali, the firm’s founder and managing partner.

“Whether he’s handling a mediation or a substantive court appearance involving a class action, Jurdi has shown he can go in alone and walk out victorious,” Scali said. “He’s going to add substantial firepower to our consumer protection cases.”

Jurdi, who also specializes in advertising and environmental law, joins the Scali firm from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he defended companies against consumer class claims and alleged violations of California's key environmental protection regulations, known as Proposition 65.

Prior to his significant experience defending consumer class actions, Jurdi was an associate attorney at Kemnitizer, Barron & Krieg, where he litigated consumer class actions for plaintiffs against auto dealers and auto finance companies. “Jade’s unique experience having been on the other side of these cases, provides the firm with valuable insight into the strategies and tactics of plaintiff’s class counsel, which can substantially aid our firm in defending our auto dealer and auto finance company clients,” Scali added.

The Scali Law Firm—which also has offices in Ontario, San Diego and Sacramento—is an auto dealer law firm offering transactional, regulatory and litigation services as part of its outside general counsel service. The firm has been named a Top Boutique Law Firm in California by the Daily Journal, an honor reserved for only one law firm in the automotive category.

The Scali Law Firm’s attorneys are thought leaders in the automotive industry, often called upon to provide their opinions on new and trending issues on auto distribution and franchise, F&I, employment and advertising issues. The Scali Law Firm also drafted the CNCDA’s 2015 Advertising Law Manual, providing auto dealers with practical guidance on advertising practices.
