Geoff West is an Associate in Scali Rasmussen’s Litigation and Labor & Employment Law Departments, where he contributes to the firm’s strategic defense of complex employment matters across California’s evolving regulatory landscape. His practice includes defending clients against claims brought under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), navigating class and representative actions under the Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA), and resolving disputes involving state and federal agencies. Geoff is particularly adept at developing litigation strategies that safeguard employers’ interests while aligning with their business priorities.

Geoff’s background in employment law is further strengthened by his experience serving clients in the automotive industry, where he has supported matters involving regulatory compliance, workforce management and dispute resolution. He brings a solutions-oriented approach to litigation, informed by his Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University’s prestigious Straus Institute, where he studied advanced arbitration, mediation, and negotiation techniques.

Geoff has represented both private clients and institutional insurers, offering tailored pretrial and trial strategies that effectively balance legal risk with fiscal objectives. He is admitted to practice before all California state courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

A valued member of Scali Rasmussen, Geoff attributes much of his growth to the firm’s collaborative environment and commitment to innovative legal advocacy. Outside the office, he enjoys international travel, time with family and friends, and long walks with his 85-pound rescue dog, Otis. He is also a bonsai enthusiast, appreciating the discipline and patience the art form demands.
